Pismo Beach - sunny and clear for 22!

We celebrated our 22nd anniversary a month early. We went with Bro Mike and Sis Kathy to Pismo Beach, CA, - one of their favorite get-away's. They always speak of the foggy / rainy weather that will probably ensue, but now I wonder if that's just a ploy to keep all the tourists away from this quiet little town.

We came a month early, because, in April, the room prices almost double (yes we like a deal), and it was a great time to come. The Hotel sits right on a cliff, and our room has a balcony view of the ocean.

The hills were all green from the recent rains, and there were spotted splashes of color.

Mike played the role of tour guide, pointing out every point of interest and wildlife on the shore.

He showed us seals and this otter in the water below. (Click on the pic to see this guy eating a little calamari)

Here is a self-portrait of the four of us, to memorialize our first Pismo trip, with the T's. The guys, enjoying a walk in the park along the ocean side.

The ladies mostly sat and wondered when the wind would drive them off the beach to save the hair-do's.

We went to Rosa's for dinner (yummy) and I caught a pic of this hottie by a classic.Rechelle and Kathy, after dinner, at Rosa's on the patio. Next time I'd like to dine inside. Either way, it was very nice, and good food.

Today we went into Pismo, saw the campgrounds and walked along the beach, finding some whole sand dollars, and several, soon-to-be-dead jelly fish, washed up onto the shore.

We had a nice lunch near the pier on the water front.

The girls have gone shopping; Mike is catching up on his reading, and your's, truly, is blogging about our trip.

Need to rest up, as our friends will treat us to a wonderful dinner tonight, at Steamers, for our 22nd wedding anniversary !

It's been one of our best trips, ever! Thanks, Mike and Kathy, for showing us around this quaint, picturesque, little town!
