College Days...

It was an early morning for most of us on Monday, June 23, 2008. Somehow, Mom managed to wake up before Dad went off to work, and to receive the instruction, "Make sure to get a picture of Kacia before she leaves on her first day of school!" So, she enthusiastically scrambled out of bed, in time to get this photo op of Kacia, having her breakfast. You can see Kacia's assortment of bags, since she would be gone most of the day with various errands, and then straight to her tutoring job. Let's see, book bag for the U.S. History class (Mon-Thurs; 7:30-10:30 a.m.), Lunch bag (to avoid spending money on food, since gas is so terribly expensive!), Tutoring bag (behind the lunch bag!), Oh, and there's Kacia, with a smile on her face, eating her granola and yogurt, ready to dash off for the day!!

We are adjusting to having her gone every morning (except Fridays, yay!). She'll be gone all day on Saturdays as well, for her Speech class. Good thing summer school only lasts for 6 weeks. Then there will be a short break, before her really heavy schedule of classes kicks in. She will possibly be adding another part time job to her schedule, at her old high school. We'll find out more about that, in the next week or so.
