Top 8- American Idol

Well, last week on American Idol Adam Lambert was praised as usual, we had a surprise break-through performance and saw the most unique (Craziest? Come on, it wasn't that bad) outfit yet. This is what keeps us glued to this show.

After consistently critiquing and praising the show's contestants thus far, we (Kayley, Kara and Kacia) have a pretty solid list down of who's going to make it on the show.

1. Adam Lambert­- Got a really smooth voice and great range. Total control over his voice, great stage presence, but not my personal favorite.-kayley
2. Kris Allen- He has a great voice and he knows how to use it really well. He chooses great songs that are popular nowadays, so that’s what’s making him more popular. But he’s got to keep on making those good choices, or else…-kara
3. Matt Giraud- Way better voice than Kris, way more talented. But Kris’ looks are like 50% of why he’s so popular, and thus is higher on the list. Lovely, huh? Matt’s highlight was definitely that awesome jazzy performance 2 weeks ago- that’s when I knew he actually had a good chance at going far. He’s like a cross between Justin Timberlake and…uh…someone with a natural really good voice and ear for music. -kacia
4. Allison Iraheta- Also has really good control over her voice, and she knows when to use the “strongness” and that “roughness” kind of sound in her voice. I really like that about her cuz she really knows like a singer how to control her voice. That’s what gunna get her up. -kara
5. Lil Rounds- She is very good, but there’s too many people who have sounded like her before. There are so many soul singers, is what I mean. You can’t really remember her- she doesn’t really stand out.
6. Danny Gokey- If it wasn’t for that wife story, I don’t think he’d be this far. He’s not that amazing of a singer- no awe-inspiring range, no crazy licks, no ingenious originality of song arrangement. He seems sweet and can sing very well, but that’s all. -kacia
7. Scott MacIntyre- Good voice, I looove the way he plays the piano, and even though he’s not one of my favorites, he does have really good control over his voice. But he’s not been choosing really good songs, and he needs to start doing that or he’s going to get voted out pretty soon. -kara
8. Anoop Desai- He was my total favorite in the beginning as an underdog minority guy (Yeah, fighting The Man!) with a surprisingly good voice, but now I just feel really sorry for him, and really curious as to why he’s lasted this long. He does have a great voice, but the terrible song choices he’s made week after week are just digging him a deep, deep embarrassing hole. –kacia

Our Favorite: Matt Giraud. He’s talented and not creepy! (Yes, all 3 of us girls agree Adam’s kind of odd.)

Will Win: Adam Lambert. Hands down. Way too much talent and charisma not to win. No surprise in the least there.

Needs to go: Anoop Desai. Sorry, buddy, you’re just not making the cut. I mean, “Thriller”?? Come on!!

Who should still be here: Alexis Grace. Our favorite, still. Weeks after she’s gone. America, you jipped us!
