BBQ Chicken Rub with Oregano & Lime Juice

Tonight we had Bro Steve's dry rub mix on a simple, whole, chicken (along with some fresh oregano from our garden, and fresh lime juice - from Albertson's). Kayley worked with Mom to prepare the entire dinner, with barbequed chicken, steamed snow peas, chicken broth smashed red potatoes, garlic butter grilled tomatoes, and french bread (from Albertson's), oh, and milk for our drink!! (We almost always have milk with our dinner - especially for Lukas' sake, who rarely eats enough calories in a day to fatten his skinny body up!!) Anyway, everyone else was gone during the dinner preparation, either working, working on the computer, or at the park with Dad... It was a very special "Mommy and Me" time for Kayley and Mom!
When Kayley was younger, she would say, "Mom, can we have 'Mommy and Me" time?" Once in a while, Mom would venture out to the swing set to hang out with Kayley, and make her feel so very special. So, tonight was reminiscent of those days, but with a more grown-up activity, since Kayley is already, almost a teenager!! Wow! Time has flown by!
